Our Personal Favourites

Chamonix is not only renowned for its mountains and strong tourist trade; it is also a charming town which is full of character, well-known for its crafts. Here are some of our personal favourites which are sure to make your stay in Chamonix an unforgettable experience.

David Vuillermoz

L'Auberge du Manoir is a big supporter of the painter Enia. Our hotel has several of Enia's works on display. Her creations have a range of human and spiritual dimensions which invite us to contemplate their beauty. Visit her website to find out more about her fascinating work: EniaPeintre.

Martial Bourot

Want to escape from it all? Like us, you will be won over by the works of the surrealist painter, Martial Bourlot. To find out more about his creations or for dates of upcoming exhibitions, visit his website: Bourlot.fr

Atelier Catelles & Bois

Design and décor Atelier Catelles & Bois (Pottery and wood workshop): 'Les Catelles' is the name in the local dialect given to small pieces of earthenware. You will find them in many shapes and sizes, for a multitude of uses, amongst other hand-crafted objects made from wood, fabrics or willow, all decorated with ribbons or pine cones. The workshop is situated opposite the Post Office in Chamonix at 26 Place Balmat.

Or for something a little different...
